About Us
Raven Rope Access provides specialist access solutions for inspection, maintenance and repair where scaffolding, MEWPs or shutdown-heavy methods aren’t the best fit. Based in North Wales and working across the UK, we support marine, industrial, infrastructure and energy assets with safe, efficient rope access and confined space capability.
Our work is planned properly from the outset: clear scope, suitable access and rescue provision, robust RAMS, and minimal disruption to your operations. Whether the job is on a jetty, bridge, lighthouse, tank, stack or structure, we focus on practical delivery, tidy execution, and doing things the right way.
From ports and bridges to industrial plants and offshore-related assets, every project is underpinned by safety compliance, competent supervision and measurable outcomes—so clients get confidence in both the work and the documentation that sits behind it.
Who We Are
Raven Rope Access is led by Grant Mitchell, an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor and Rescue Team Leader with extensive experience across high-risk confined spaces and working-at-height operations on industrial, offshore and infrastructure assets in the UK and overseas, including Europe, the Middle East and South America.
Grant’s background is hands-on and operational: supervising rope access teams, leading standby and intervention rescue provision, producing RAMS and rescue plans, coordinating with permit/control rooms, and maintaining readiness of breathing apparatus, comms and rescue systems. He’s known for being calm under pressure, meticulous with standards and documentation, and focused on developing teams through drills, coaching and structured feedback.
Alongside rope access, Grant also holds mountain instructor qualifications, bringing a strong foundation in rigging judgement, movement on steep terrain, and disciplined safety habits—skills that translate directly into controlled, professional work at height.
